Thank you to everyone for getting your deposits for the art tour in so promptly. WorldStrides has received them and will process them by the end of the week.
The next stage will be filling in paperwork for Worldstrides and documentation for the Department of Education.
Passports are required to be valid 6 months past the return date of the trip.
If your passport will expire before this time, or you do not have one, you need to start applying for a new passport straight away.
Delay in getting a new passport will affect the group as a whole as documentation cannot be processed until every member of the art tour has a valid passport.
"Airline tickets cannot be issued without all passports being sighted by WorldStrides and there can be no exceptions. This is a strict policy set by the airlines and supported by WorldStrides. Groups must be ticketed together, and therefore any late passports will cause delay of documentation for the entire group.
Quite often students will not have a valid passport and therefore they will need to obtain one to participate on the tour. It is quite common for parents and students to underestimate the importance of their passport and the length of time required for obtaining one.
We suggest if you have not already done so, to get started immediately. Passport applications forms can be obtained from Australia Post. Generally, Australia Post will require you to make an appointment with your child to complete the application process."
