Qatar Airlines has one of the world's youngest fleets with most aircraft averaging 5 years of service. Based in Doha and a member of the One World Alliance, Qatar was named the best airline in the world at last year's Skytrax awards and is a worthy rival to Etihad and Emirates.
The logo of Qatar Airlines is the Arabian Oryx. It is the national animal of Qatar and was completely extinct from the wild in 1972. It was reintroduced to the wild in 1982. After 25 years the Oryx has spread across the Arabian Peninsula and is now listed as 'vulnerable' rather than extinct.
